None of the hikes on Anastasia Island are strenuous in the least. In fact, they are primarily beach walks with landmarks that you head to. Here’s our quick guide to the three major hikes mentioned on AllTrails.

Cape Francis Beach Walk

Distance: 7.3 miles

Nothing is more romantic than a beach walk, and Cape Francis is an excellent place to hike to. It’s a deserted trail, so if you want privacy with your significant other or family, this is a great walk.

Marsh Trail

Difficulty: Easy
Distance: 0.9 miles

If all you’re looking for is a look at the dunes and a little exercise, then Marsh Trail will be a perfect fit. It’s a really short walk that will give you a look at some of Anastasia’s natural beauty.

Ancient Dunes Nature Trail

Difficulty: Easy
Distance: 0.7 miles

Another shorter walk that is great for young families, the Ancient Dunes Nature Trail will guide you through the forest.

If you want to bike instead of walk, you can grab some bike rentals while you’re in town and bring them to the park. If you’re feeling it, you might even want to ride here without the car.

Perhaps the most popular activity at the park, kayak rentals are a dime a dozen on Anastasia and St. Augustine. You can rent them onsite, so you don’t need to lug them around with you all over town.
